Hello friends, I hope you like this picture of Parchina, we took this over Christmas and she was using a leaf to protect her new Christmas jacket from the rain. I kept teasing her and saying she looked like Mother Christmas as her jacket is red with a white fur trim. She got very cross with me for teasing her and said that wasn’t the Christmas spirit. I suppose she was right, it’s not very nice to tease people.

Churchmouse – December
Hello Friends, isn’t it exciting, Christmas is nearly here! Oh I get so excited when I see Christmas trees appearing, mind you I don’t like the prickles that fall off the tree, they stick in my fur and the hurt my toes. But I do like the lights and baubles it looks so pretty. We mice often run around the village and peep into people’s windows just to look at all the brightly coloured lights, watch out for us!

Results from the Public Meetings:
Thank you to all those who attended the 2 public sessions the Parish Council staged to discuss the siting of additional housing in the village.
Payhembury is required by East Devon District Council to build a minimum of 5 new houses in the village before 2026. The public meetings were held to gauge the community’s opinion of where these houses should be situated.
