This is Parchina writing this month and what a busy month it has been in church for us mice, we started off with the school Harvest Festival and the children brought some lovely gifts and they sang an amazing song that Eloise, Amelie, Lydia and Flo wrote, wow it was so good! Then two days later we had a lovely wedding, we mice were worried when we heard a strange squeaking noise, then we saw a man in kilt, squeezing a bag with pipes, I believe they call it bagpipes and they piped Stephanie and Martin into church, wow that was a sight. Payhembury Provisions – October
September 28th was James’ last day in the shop. The committee wish him well and thank him for his expertise and efforts over the past year in helping us establish and run a village shop we can all be proud of! Now the committee are requesting the support of everyone in our parish to do their bit to keep our shop in the centre of our community for the benefit of all. All volunteers are invited to attend a meeting on October 2nd in the Parish Hall at 7.30pm where the procedures and plans for the future management of the shop will be explained. …

Churchmouse – October
Yippee it’s my favorite time of year again, Harvest. There will be lots of yummy food brought into church again for the Harvest Festival; the windows will be covered with tasty apples, cabbages, potatoes and all sorts of lovely fruit and vegetables for us to eat. I particularly like it when we have the large harvest loaf, we mice can nibble from behind and no one notices.-he he! WE love to hear all the harvest songs though and Rev Cate has introduced some new ones which make us want to dance.

AGM and Meeting – 13th September
Following TVCT’s AGM on Thursday 13th September in Payhembury Parish Hall, there will be a presentation of video and photos from the site-specific production ‘Leyhill’ which took place in April this year.
John Somers will also present the next project, an inter-generational production which will be developed through co-operative work between young people and older people in the community. The aim is to spend time exploring life in the period 1930 -1950 when the older people were young. The group will then devise key scenes which capture the …

Hello friends, did you know you are not the only ones who have been enjoying the fun and games of the Olympics, we mice have had our own Olympics, we invited in our friends the field mice and a few other little creatures and we have had fun and games ourselves. Not that any of us are very good but we all enjoyed playing together and cheering on our teams, it’s such fun to take part.
