Alan’s Nature Notes from January
Hello everyone
Well, we've enjoyed some lovely winter days recently, in amongst the grimmer stuff! The sunshine has encouraged a lot of birds to start singing. Led by the robins, the dunnocks, blackbirds, song thrushes, wrens and tits have all had a go! Also, the not so nice sounds have emanated from rooks, crows and jackdaws. I mustn't forget the chack-chack calls made by the hundreds of fieldfares, as they race around the village skies. Today, (19th, Monday) the sky is a lovely blue all over, with hardly a cloud in sight.

They Dream of Home – Latest
They Dream of Home - to be held on 19th and 20th September
Due to unforeseen circumstances, Tale Valley Community Theatre’s WW1 commemoration play ‘They Dream of Home’ did not happen in September 2014. It will now be performed on September 19th and 20th this year, with the bulk of the rehearsals taking place in July.
‘They Dream of Home’, written and directed by John Somers, features,
with the permission of relatives, two real people whose names appear on the Payhembury War Memorial. It will be a promenade performance, with scenes happening …

Payhembury Short Mat Bowls – February News
Nineteen members and friends attended the Bowls Club Annual Dinner, which was held at the Tumbling Weir in Otter St. Mary. Trophies were presented to Derek Johns and Alan Jones. A very pleasant evening had by all.
We still have our young member attending and would like to have more young ones, so come and give it a try.

Churchmouse – February
Dear Friends,
Do you like this picture of me? I found some old material and made an outfit like Rev Cate’s. I have to say it made me walk more slowly and also made me think about sensible things rather than running up and down the drainpipes or playing hide and seek with Parchina around the pews. I wondered if that was why Rev Cate wore it. I think really she wears it to indicate that she is doing something special. So I thought that I would do something special as well when I was wearing it.
