I have a new mission in life, which is try to cheer everyone up. First we had endless Brexit, then came the winter of unrelenting rainfall and now we have to endure coronavirus – all this negativity is having an adverse effect on us all, so now seems an excellent time to get closer to nature.

Yellingham Farm – March
I have just come indoors and lit a lovely log fire, after a productive morning (which started in the wee hours) down in my lambing yard, sorting out ewes and lambs, moving new-borns and their mums into individual pens to mother up and generally appreciating the wonder of new life – even if it is just sheep.

On Boxing Day in 2004 we watched our TVs in horror, as a tsumani engulfed coastal communities. People, boats, homes, livelihoods, lives – all tossed in the air as if they were nothing.
A tsunami has engulfed our world. Not just health and lives have been overwhelmed by the coronavirus, but livelihoods and incomes, families and connections, stability and security. If your household is affected by the Coronavirus any waste materials that you come in contact with need to be handled carefully before they are collected to help prevent further spread of the virus.
Please ensure you adhere to the following:
All contaminated items you produce, including tissues, cleaning cloths and wipes and masks, need to be put into a plastic bag. Tie the top of the bag to prevent escape of the material
