Allotments / Village Car Park / Football Pitch

5 August 2020 By Sue

The Leach family have very generously offered an area of approximately 2 acres of land down in The Meadows to be used for a village car park, allotments and a full size, flat!!! football pitch.

The Parish Council have checked with EDDC planning authority to see what their view would be regarding planning permission as there was no point pursuing this idea if EDDC felt there was no likelihood that planning permission would be granted. However, they have come back saying, in principle, planning permission could be granted.

Now that the Parish Council know that this idea could go ahead they would like to hear from parishioners – What do you think of this idea? Do you have any comments, thoughts or suggestions?

If you could let the Parish Council know:

  • By contacting any Councillor

  • Via email payhemburypc@googlemail.com

  • Or tel 01404 841773

Please respond by the end of August as this is on the agenda to be discussed at the Parish Council meeting on 9th September.

Below is a rough, first impression diagram of a potential layout.
