As I write this I’m warming my toes on a radiator in church, the snow has frozen my little paws when I was out scampering round the graveyard. My Mum told me not to stay out too long but I was having fun sliding up and down the slope on a leaf. I forgot to put on my wellies so my feet got very soggy. I hope you like the picture, Parchina took this of me when I fell inside the boots left by someone in the church porch, I had a hard job trying to climb out, but I did in the end.
We much prefer children’s boots to hide our treasures in so be careful when you put your willies on as you never know what we might have hidden there.
Over Christmas we took in two new friends who had been left all alone, Rev Cate brought them to us on Christmas day, it was lovely to see them and they have settled very well into our family. We were so glad we were able to give them some shelter and a new home. We have even enjoyed sharing the biscuit crumbs left by Play and Praise with them and we did enjoy the chocolate left after Christmas.
We are looking forward to having them to play with outside in the spring, I’m hoping to teach them how to play cricket and then we can challenge the field mice to a game.
Well I had better go and see what they are up to now, they’re still getting lost around the church and I don’t want them getting too cold.
Love and squeaks, Parchie
