This Spring term we have been looking at the 'I am' statements that Jesus said about himself and asking what exactly we think he was meaning by them. For example, when he said, 'I am the way', did he mean there was only one way, what if you left the path could you return to it? When Jesus said, 'I am the bread of life', some of the children suggested that he was the main spiritual food that would fill you up. We had some interesting discussions, followed by making our own 'bread' in the shape of pancakes, being February and with Lent …

Churchmouse – December
Dear Friends
Season’s Greetings, Wow! Wasn’t the light party amazing? Rachael did a great job with the food - I enjoyed nibbling up the crumbs from the hotdogs.
Apart from harvest of course, I think that Christmas is my favourite time of year. The Church is always so beautifully decorated with lights and the nativity. I am especially looking forward the Christmas tree festival because, when nobody is watching, us mice like to scurry up the trunks and play tag in the trees. The trees looking so lovely - I hope you are displaying one for us to …

Churchmouse – November
Dear friends
First of all, we were very sad to see Rev Cate go last month. She has been very kind letting us sleep in the church and we will miss her very much! She has made us feel very welcome. However, we really enjoyed the first new All Ages service. It was lovely to see so many children and families in church enjoying such brilliant worship.....and eating bacon rolls of course! Us mice enjoyed the crumbs!
Word is out amongst the mice that there is a Light Party happening in the Parish Hall this month on November 2nd. Hopefully we will be …

Churchmouse – October
Dear Friends,
What funny weather we have been having, Parchina and I are a bit fed up getting so wet when we go out to play in the fields, the heavy rain really hurts our backs if we get caught out in it. We have managed to get out and play sometimes with our fieldmice friends and swing on the ears of wheat, even nibbling a few, we hope no one noticed.
We are pleased to have the children back, school are now coming to church twice a week, which is great as we love to hear them singing, there are so many of them now the church looks full. …

Churchmouse – September
Hello friends,
In our last letter we said that we mice would be looking after the church while you were all away. Well we decided to hold pour own services when it was quiet, you can see us sitting in the pews. It was great fun, Granma and Dad lead the service, Mum did a lovely Bible reading from the Mice Bible, did you know we have one? It was telling us about how Jesus told his disciples off because they wouldn’t let the children come near him. Grandpa mouse sang a solo, not too sure what he sang, it was supposed to be all things bright and …

Hi P&P
I look forward to your monthly mouse experiences with anticipation. You obviously enjoyed your visit to the seaside.
Did you go to Mousehole (pronounced Mous’l by your Cornish cousins)? If not, perhaps next time. It is a lovely coastal village.
I think you deserve a special treat, so on the first Sunday in August, you will find morsels in a container on the church porch seat - a selection of the finest cheese and cake crumbs for your delectation.
Regards Annoni Mouse

Churchmouse – August
Hello friends, can you see what we mice are up to? Well Mum and Dad thought it would be a good idea if we learned a musical instrument. You see we enjoy the music in church so much they thought it was about time we joined in.
So they managed to find a French horn and a saxophone small enough for us to play. Well it’s been great fun; we haven’t got a teacher yet so we have been playing around on our own. Not too sure what we sound like but it has been terrific to make lots of noise. Grandma and Grandpa mice have been scurrying around with …

Churchmouse – July
Hello friends, how are you? Do you like the photo of us on holiday? While you were away on half term we mice decided to have a trip to the seaside for our holiday too. We packed up our beach gear and travelled in our special mouse coach down to visit our cousins at the seaside. It took quite a while and Granma mouse didn’t feel very well when we got there, she doesn’t really like travelling. But when she got out of the coach she saw some icecream and do you know she immediately felt better!
Well we had a super time, we had some lovely hot …
