Churchmouse – April

6 April 2013 By Sue

easterbonnetHello friends, its so eggciting, we’ve heard there will be an Easter hunt on Good Friday morning, we just love that because we find all the little eggs that you children leave behind. Last year we found loads, Jim hid them so well, but we did see the gentleman who was clearing the churchyard find one and pop it into his mouth, I wonder who that was?

This is such a lively time of year, the sun is out sometimes and we mice can warm our toes, they have got to wet during the winter we thought that we might grow webbed feet like ducks!

It’s been busy in church, there was a funny service with the children waving something that looked like leeks but we heard they were palm branches. They were waving them to remind themselves of Jesus arriving at Jerusalem, you would have thought they could have made flags to wave at him. On that day as well a lovely baby girl was christened, I think she was called Evie.free coloring pages easter egg

Perhaps by the time you read this you will have had some of your eggs, you can see I have found one and nibbled already. But we mustn’t forget that Easter isn’t just about eggs! The eggs remind us of the new life Jesus gives to us, the light he shines on us all the time and we remember that he died and rose again for us to bring God’s love to each and every one of us. Have a great chocolaty Easter, Parchie

See you soon, Parchie and Parchina.
