Churchmouse – August

4 August 2012 By Sue

Hello friends,

Happy days are here again the sun is out, the sky is blue, there’s not a thing to spoil the view- oops I think I’ve been listening to too many old songs. But it is good to see the sun and for us mice to be able to get out and about and run up and down the drain pipes. We love to play chase up one pipe and down another, do you ever see us?

I bet you didn’t see us peeking down during the Leavers’ Service in church, what a lovely time we had, we loved the terrific singing and watching the pictures of all the fun times the leavers had at school. There were some lovely prayers and poems read by the children, but what a lot of tissues ere left after people mopped up their tears!

I suppose there will be some quiet times now as people are away on holiday, Play and Praise has stopped for the holidays which is such a shame we love eating up the crumbs after the children have gone. But we still have the All Ages service to clear up after, so keep dropping the biscuits children.

We enjoyed Mia Martin’s baptism such fun and we are looking forward to 2 weddings, I believe, in August.

Well the sun is out and Parchina wants to play chase again, we must be quiet though as Grandpa Mouse is fast asleep in the church porch and he gets so grumpy if we wake him when he’s taking his afternoon nap.

Enjoy your hols yours squeaky friend Parchie.
