Churchmouse – December

7 December 2013 By Sue

mouse treeHi everybody, hope you are getting your Christmas trees ready for the Festival in Church. We mice have been very busy but you will have to look very hard to see if you can find ours! We love seeing all the big trees in church, the last time we had a Christmas Tree Festival we had such fun, running up and down the tables, climbing in and out of the trees and even trying to nibble some of the goodies! Mum told us off for trying to pull things off the trees, so we won’t do that this year, we promise.

Christmas will soon be here too, oh what fun, it’s lovely to see the church decorated and to see lots of happy faces as people sing carols. I wonder if there will be a baby this year for the Nativity.

I also wonder if we’ll get any snow, I do remember a couple of years ago, Christmas was so cold, we mice went out skating on the ice on Christmas Eve, it was such fun , but poor Parchina fell over and got a big bruise, I won’t tell you where though, he he.

We are looking forward to lots of crumbs from the mince pies, it’s nice to get some tasty crumbs.

Well I suppose Parchina and I had better start writing our letters to Father Christmas, I wonder what we want this year? You may wonder how he delivers to church mice as we haven’t got a chimney, well he puts the pressies by the door, neatly tucked away and we try to leave him some crumbs, I’m not sure he eats them but I think the reindeer do. Well we must get writing, have a lovely Christmas, squeaks, Parchie.
