Churchmouse – December

4 December 2014 By Sue

cateHi Friends

We mice have been practicing our carols so we can go out carol singing again this year. We had such fun last year that we are really excited about carolling again this year. This picture was taken when we were practicing and we had a nice fire to keep us warm. We mice you know get very cold, so we need to wrap up warmly. Our little toes get very chilled walking in the cold and wet.

We are really looking forward to Christmas. We love Christmas in church, all the lovely singing and decorations and of course all the lovely nibbles which we get when you have all gone!

We really enjoy playing around the Christmas tree but sometimes Mum tells us off when we swing on the branches and knock off the baubles. You will have to see if any are missing or dented!

We had great fun in November when the confirmation service came to our church. We enjoyed watching from our usual hidey hole. We hadn’t seen a bishop before, we were very impressed with his finery and loved his special hat. It was lovely to see the church full and everyone looking so happy. We had another happy occasion when baby Rosie was baptized, smiling faces all around – what a joy.

Well smiling faces is what we hope we will have on Christmas morning too not only when we open our presents, but at our special service on Christmas morning as well, so see you soon and keep in good voice just like us mice.

Love, Parchie and Parchina.
