Churchmouse – July

14 July 2013 By Sue

mouseHi friends, we mice hope you have been able to enjoy some of the sun, we have we’ve been sat up on the roof of the church and when it gets too hot for us we go into the shade of the tower. Our Mum is always moaning at us to take care in the sun because even though we have fur our ears can get burnt so we have to use leaves as hats, we don’t have caps like many of the children have!

It’s OK by the tower until the bells ring and then we have to dash away with our ears covered or we get headaches. The last few weeks we have heard lots of bells as there have been 3 weddings, we enjoyed watching Susie and George get married and then there was Kayleigh and Graig and then another Kayleigh who married Darren. OH it was so exciting and everyone looks so happy. We mice like a wedding, we love to hear the singing and see people’s happy faces.

We’ve seen lots of happy faces of the children coming into church for their School service, some of them are getting so big it’s no wonder they will be going off to big school.

Parchina and I really enjoyed Play and Praise this month, there were so many children and they left so many biscuit crumbs it kept us busy eating them for ages and then we got tummy ache, Mum told us it was our own fault and we shouldn’t have been so greedy and kept some for later, but they were so yummy. We do hope next month there’s lots as well, but at the moment we do have lots of seeds and fruit to eat which really is better for us than biscuits (we mice also must have a healthy diet).

Well must finish now Parchina wants to play run up and down the drain pipe, see you soon, love Parchie.
