Do you like this picture of our Mum and Dad on their wedding day? Don’t they look smart? Not like we usually see them and they also look so serious. Perhaps that’s because getting married is a serious business. Well we’ve seen a lot of brides and grooms, recently, Sonya and Jon, Georgina and Michael and Gemma and Johnny. What happy days they have been even when Georgina and Michael had to dodge wind and rain! Everyone looked so grand and so happy and we mice loved the singing and the confetti. When everyone has left the church we creep down out of the door very quickly and watch the confetti being thrown by the gate, then when no one is looking we dash down and pick up the petals and paper confetti as quickly as possible before it blows away and take it back to line our nests, it smells so nice.
It has been a busy month in church, as well as the weddings there was a great soup lunch, we believe it was for Christian Aid, but what a lot of crumbs were left for us mice! There were so many we took some out to share with our field mouse friends as they were having a hard time finding enough food. We really like the new idea of having bacon sandwiches before the last service of the month. The smell of the bacon drives us mad but when everyone is gone down we run from out hidey hole on the screen and carry off the crumb. No one leaves us any bacon though, a piece of cheese would be nice, don’t they know we mice like cheese!
Well there are more wedding ahead we hear, Becca and Stuart and Kerry and Heath, I wonder what the weather will be like for those? Lots more confetti we hope. Look out for us collecting it and give us a wave, but please don’t tell the cats.
Bye, bye, Parchie and family.
