Dear Friends, Hope you all ad a lovely Easter, we mice had a great time. What fun we had watching so many children on Good Friday, they came into church after their parade with their crosses from the village hall, shame they didn’t have their hot cross buns in church so we could nibble up he crumbs. But there was an egg or two left after the egg hunt in the churchyard, he he. They all looked as if they enjoyed themselves even though that part of the Easter story is very sad.
Easter Day though was great, some fantastic singing to start the service from the children and more later in the service, what great voices they have? We mice were sat up on the screen watching from our special place and we thought it was great. It was a shame Rev Cate got the festivals muddled up, fancy thinking it was Christmas! It was a good job the children were able to put her straight and get her on the right track. I’ll tell you something, Parchina and I have had fun with the lovely Easter flowers, we’ve been playing hide and seek around them and in and out if them. Mum told us off, she said the ladies had worked hard to make them look so pretty an d that we should not mess about with them. So we were careful. They have lasted a long time as well, but I expect that is because of the cold weather. We mice have had to stay indoors and it’s been hard for us to find food so we were glad that we were able to find a few eggs after from the Easter egg hunt and to have plenty of biscuit crumbs after the services. You wouldn’t believe how hard it s to find nice things to eat in the graveyard when the weather is cold. Let’s hope we get more nice weather, squeaks, from Parchie and Parchina
