I do hope you have enjoyed starting back to school and preschool and all those things which start in September. We mice have enjoyed seeing the children back in church and I’m so glad to say they haven’t lost their singing voices in fact I think they are singing even better, perhaps it the new reception children that are singing so sweetly.
It’s been a good month for us mice, we have enjoyed going out in the fields with our cousins the field mice and gathering up some grain for the winter, but we don’t like the change in the weather now, no more dozing in the sun on the church roof!
We have had a busy time in church; we watched a lovely wedding from on top of the screen, when Laura and Ian got married, now we heard that they were vets, Grandma mouse got very excited as she thought she might get some tips on how to help her stiff legs, but we said we didn’t think that Laura and Ian would appreciate an old mouse hobbling up the aisle after them. It was lovely to see lots of happy faces and some lovely music as well. We also had Albie Colyer’s christening, so many babies it was great, we mice could join in the singing and no one could hear us. Then we had Robert Disney christened as well, I heard Rev Cate say that his Mum and Dad were the first couple that she married in Payhembury church.
Then we’ve had some interesting happenings with the pews, so much more space. Parchina and I love skidding up and down on the newly polished floors, well I’d better skid off now.
Love and squeaks, Parchie and Parchina.
