Churchmouse – October

16 October 2012 By Sue

Yippee it’s my favorite time of year again, Harvest. There will be lots of yummy food brought into church again for the Harvest Festival; the windows will be covered with tasty apples, cabbages, potatoes and all sorts of lovely fruit and vegetables for us to eat. I particularly like it when we have the large harvest loaf, we mice can nibble from behind and no one notices.-he he! WE love to hear all the harvest songs though and Rev Cate has introduced some new ones which make us want to dance.

It has been great to have the children from school back in church after the holidays again and Play and Praise for the toddlers started again after its summer break. WE love to hear their cheery voices and also love the crumbs they leave. This month they left some straw which was great so we put some in our nests as these nights are getting cold and our little toes get chilly. It was great fun also having a baptism, little Aiden Clarke was baptised during the all Ages Service so nice to see lots of happy people in church to celebrate with him.

Well this month looks to be a happy and full one again, new things are starting, the Singa along on Sunday before the service was surprise I was still dosing, I like a lie in on a Sunday and then all this singing, well they looked as if they were enjoying themselves so that was great. Off I go now to see what the harvest flower arrangers are up to, I believe there’s a wedding as well, so we mice had better keep out of the way.

Tatty bye, Parchie and friends.
