Hi everyone, hope you have been enjoying the summer; we have been having great fun out in the field with our cousins the field mice. We have been swinging from the top of the wheat across the fields; you can see us in the picture. Sometime the wind blows and we fall off and then we have to climb back up again and start all over but it is such a laugh!
It’s been very quiet around the village, everyone seems to have been away, Rev Cate was away and we had different people taking our services, it’s good to hear different voices. But we have missed hearing the children from school in church and look forward to having them back soon. I believe there are some special things planned, I was listening to people talking about what was going on, Albie Colyer will have been christened by the time you read this, oh we love a christening. It great to hear lots of happy voices though the babies don’t like it when Rev Cate pours water over their heads, I wonder if she would do that to us! Then I think we have another one at the end of September, Robert Disney. I believe we also have another wedding coming up Laura and Ian are getting married, that will be lovely and we will be able to munch some nice flowers when everyone has gone, he he.
But there are other exciting things planned so more food for us I hope. On September the 1st is the Patronal Festival, now we mice were not at all sure what that was, well we listened hard and were told it was the church’s birthday, so there will be a special celebration, I wonder do people bring presents to the church? Then after that will be Harvest Festival and that’s going on for several days so I hope there will be lots of things for us to nibble. It all sound very exciting, so we had better get some rest and recover from all the bruises we have from falling off the wheat. Cheerio, Parchie and family.
