Churchyard Cleanup

There will be a churchyard clean up on Sat 28th April between 10am & 12 noon. We are looking for more volunteers this year to give up a couple of hours, once a month to keep the churchyard looking “well kept”. We are so fortunate to have such a beautiful building in the heart of our village, it is important that we maintain it for all to enjoy.

May meeting

THE WEDNESDAY CLUB
Last month just a few of us spent a really lovely sunny afternoon in Sidmouth journeying to and back along different pretty routes. All deemed it to be a good outing.
Our next meeting will be on Wednesday 9th May 2012 and is an outing to the gardens at Forde Abbey, Chard.
The coach will leave the village at 1.30 pm with previous pick ups at Markers Park, about 1.15 pm, Hillside and the Steps. We will leave for the return at 5 pm. Forde Abbey is an attractive venue with lovely gardens, plant centre, tearooms etc. and the …

Queen’s Jubilee Celebration – Meeting on Tuesday

Following the last meeting (a few more turned up, but still room for PLENTY more to join in!) it was decided to have an Open Garden event on Sunday 3rd June - ending in a cream tea no less! - and it is hoped there will be a pageant, bouncy castle and various activities for the children on Monday 4th June. There will be tea of course and also a drawing or crown making competition which we hope will be judged by some of the famous artistic people in our village.
