The Report for the Lady Day Holy Communion service on 26th March will appear next month. Two members attended the Women’s World Day of Prayer at Tipton Church on 2nd March. The theme was ‘Let Justice Prevail’ and the service was written by Christian women of Malaysia. It was a beautiful service, with some ladies dressed in truly lovely colourful costumes and exotic flowers adorned the Church. It was so good to see the Revd. Jane Ollier again who gave the Reflection. The afternoon concluded with a really splendid tea. Our meeting in April will be at Feniton Church at [...]

Christmas Meeting

December 12th, 2011

The meeting in November was held on 16th in the Parish Hall when Mary, our Leader welcomed members and our Speakers, Mr. and Mrs. Nunn, who gave us a really interesting insight into the work of the St. John Ambulance, focusing on the St. John of Jerusalem Eye Hospital, which serves 4.25 million Palestinians living in East Jerusalem, the West Bank and Gaza where the rate of blindness is ten times higher than here in the west. Their photographs shown on screen brought home the plight of the children under the age of 10 needing treatment, and the devotion of [...]
