If it’s still bitterly cold when you’re reading this, why not call in at Payhembury Provisions and see what we can offer for a cosy evening in?
A few suggestions are our local meat and fresh vegetables to make warming casseroles, curries and soups, and maybe bottle of our very popular wine to accompany your meal? Or you could take advantage of the free DVD loan and snuggle up on the sofa with a toasted crumpet or two or a slice of Hoop Farmhouse cake. Don’t forget to stock up on firelighters and matches too.
If the children in the village get their wish and we are blessed with lots of snow please remember that we aim to stock all the essentials in the shop; no need to get your car out to buy your bread, milk, bar of chocolate etc.
Looking ahead to March and the ever popular Flower and Bulb show, we stock all the ingredients you will need for the cookery classes and we already have Seville oranges in the shop so if it’s too wet and cold to be outside why not crack on with making that prize-winning jar of marmalade?
For all you lovebirds it’s Valentine’s Day soon so how about a box of chocolates, a bottle of wine and a beautiful bunch of Cornish daffodils to put a smile on someone’s face!
