This month we’d like to say thank you to everyone who has brought in all sorts of produce from their gardens for us to sell over the summer, you can’t get fresher and more local than that! If you feel the urge to make your own jams and chutneys you will find everything you need in the shop from jam sugar to pickling vinegar and spices. If you don’t feel the urge, come into the shop anyway because we sell a whole range of fantastic chutneys and pickles, including Otter Vale’s popular Devon Fire chutney, and also a good range of jams. If you’re quick there may still be a few pots of the delicious Cokesputt damson and plum jam for sale, made here in Payhembury and highly recommended.
On Thursday, October 5th at 7.30pm in the Parish Hall we have our annual members’ meeting to which everyone is invited whether or not you are a shareholder. If you have any suggestions for what you think the shop should stock, or what you think we could do better, this is your opportunity to let us know. We never forget we are a community shop and we will listen to all your suggestions. So please come along….free sampling of some of our products may be available!
On a last note congratulations to several of our volunteers who are now radio stars following their recent contribution to Radio 4’s Today programme about broadband in Payhembury; success at last!
