Payhembury Provisions – October

23 October 2012 By Sue

September 28th was James’ last day in the shop. The committee wish him well and thank him for his expertise and efforts over the past year in helping us establish and run a village shop we can all be proud of! Now the committee are requesting the support of everyone in our parish to do their bit to keep our shop in the centre of our community for the benefit of all. All volunteers are invited to attend a meeting on October 2nd in the Parish Hall at 7.30pm where the procedures and plans for the future management of the shop will be explained. The committee are also keen to hear your views and ideas and although cannot obviously accommodate everyone’s wishes and wants will, over the coming months, endeavour to manage the shop in the majority interest. A big thank you to the new volunteers who have come on board recently and also to everyone who has pledged support and offered their services already.

Fruit and Vegetables

You may not be aware that the shop has recently changed supplier of fruit and veg. Frank Mann’s from Exeter are delivering 3 times a week now. We have received favourable reports so far so why not try buying some fresh fruit or veg from the shop and let us know what you think
