Thanks for the Harvest Lunch
We all had a delicious lunch following the harvest service on 1st October. May we thank Miles East and team for catering and all those who donated puddings. Also thanks to the heroes who are always there before and after to shift tables and chairs – we could not do this without you.

Alan Jones was still in hospital as our deadline approached for getting the magazine to print, so there’s no Nature Notes this issue. Margaret has asked us to pass on their thanks to everyone who has offered support and good wishes while Alan has been ill.

Many thanks to Len Salter who gave me a push when my van broke down in Barrow Road recently. We managed to get it started so I could get it back to the workshop and change vans.

A big thank you from the Parish Paper Committee, to Payhembury Provisions!
The shop has kindly given us £100 for our funds, from the shop raffle and shop profits. Donations such as this help us to keep the paper free of charge.
We’d also like to wish Alan Jones, our treasurer and nature correspondent, our best wishes for a speedy recovery.
I would like to thank everyone who has been so thoughtful and caring over the last few weeks, following my knee surgery. What an amazing community we live in! To those who have sent cards, flowers, gifts etc or made delicious meals (Roger has been let off the cooking). Also to the many who have visited. I feel so privileged to live among such generosity and kindness. Hope to be back in circulation before too long.
