Our 50th show has received lots of positive comments, about the impact on all the senses, as people entered the hall, I think everyone will agree that it looked a picture.
In a few weeks we will be having a meeting to plan and discuss next year’s show. We would welcome new members on the committee, or if anyone has any ideas or suggestions please get in touch with Di Somers or myself; we would love to hear from you.
I promised a list of the winners this month so…
• Naomi Gammon, Eloise Doble and Lawrence McFadden all won book tokens for their stunning felt flowers
• Amelie Wilkinson, Karhys Flemington, Ben Lush, Ethan Goodland, Naomi Gammon and Will Wood all won Easter eggs for coming first in the children’s categories
Very well done to you all, the standard was very high.
Now moving on to the cups…
• Sylvia Evans swept the board by winning four of the cups, for cookery, preserves, flower arrangements and most points in the show. An amazing achievement
• Sandra Ford won for her floral arrangement
• Ruth Clarke won for most points in the handicraft section
• Fred Worman won most outstanding entry in the handicraft section
• Di Somers won best exhibit for the bulbs and plants
Special prizes go to Roz Mullin for Runner up in the Cookery Section, and Hazel Pike for Runner up in the Flower Arrangements.
The Suttcliffe Salver was won by Naomi Gammon, and the Runner up Cup was won by Will Wood.
Congratulations to you all for all your hard work
I would just like to say thank you again to everyone that helped and entered and made it another great show.
