The 51st Payhembury Spring Bulb and Flower Show – 2014

bulb showI am sure you will all agree that the hall looked and smelt fabulous last Saturday for the show. Thank you to everyone that came and took part making it another successful village event. We had 426 entries and were pleased that Dr Tim Cox came and opened for us.

bulbshow 3Congratulations to all those who won prizes.

In the children’s categories, Caitlin Brook, William Bentley and Amelia Wadsworth all won a Book Token. And well done to Lucy Weekes, Connor Williams, Naomi Gammon, Amelia Wadsworth, Sam Bentley and Will Wood who won Easter Eggs. The silver salver went to Amelia Wadsworth and the Runner up Cup to Naomi bulbs show 2Gammon. Sylvia Evans swept the board winning three cups, a great achievement! The other cups were won by Joy Morgan, Roz Mullin, Dinah Pratt and Joan Jarvis. Well done to you all.

I would like to say a big thank you to all those involved with the show, including the judges, stewards, washer uppers, those who helped set up and clear away, and who manned the stalls. Also big thanks to Steve and Sandra Ford for providing all the refreshments.
