Minutes Annual General Meeting (AGM)

29 September 2021, 7.30pm

Cricket Pavilion, Tuck Mill

Present: Mark Hammett, Tony Treen, Tim Hubbard, Jon Carden (Chair), Ed East, Jason Wood, Fred Brauer, Neil Chambers, Shane Tout and Adam Pengelly.

1. Apologies for absence – Dave Kittow, Jon Pengelly, Ben Peters, Sam Franks and Simon Kittow.
2. Minutes of AGM 2019– Minutes of 2019 AGM agreed as a correct record.
3. Chairman’s Report – Jon Carden stated that it had been a very good season with the team winning 16 out of 22 fixtures, the captains did a good job but this was made easy with the positive attitude of team members and our philosophy of ‘everyone being involved’ in each game. Great to see some new players and also our first female playing member. The season was ended with a very successful dinner/awards night and Neil Chambers amazing efforts at fundraising which totalled £1800. Thanks also extended to Adam and Ed for all their hard work over the season.
4. Treasurer’s Report – Fred Brauer explained that the club started the season with a balance of £3,000 but will end the season with a very healthy balance of £4,500. This is despite doing repairs and maintenance to the pavilion and continuing to pay for the mower the payments of which will end in October 21. The introduction of the sumup machine was very positive and helped Fred to keep track and bank the money more easily. However, we will need to consider reviewing the bar prices for 2022.

Action – Committee to review bar prices for 2022
