The Churchmouse – January

30 December 2012 By Sue

mouse jaanHello friends, I hope you like this picture of Parchina, we took this over Christmas and she was using a leaf to protect her new Christmas jacket from the rain. I kept teasing her and saying she looked like Mother Christmas as her jacket is red with a white fur trim. She got very cross with me for teasing her and said that wasn’t the Christmas spirit. I suppose she was right, it’s not very nice to tease people.

We had a great Christmas and loved seeing all the children dressed up in their costumes for the nativities. The singing was lovely and the church looked really pretty. WE mice do enjoy the decorations as well, we can eat the holly berries when it’s wet so we don’t have to go outside. We also love the mince pie crumbs, but we wonder why does Farther Christmas get a whole one and we only get crumbs?

I hope everyone got all the presents that they wanted, we peeped out on Christmas Day and saw some of you bring them to church it all looked great fun.

We do miss the children for a week or so when they are on holiday, so we’ll be glad when they’re back to school. No doubt the weather will be getting colder and we’ll see some red noses and our little toes will get chilly. But we have fun sliding on the ice. Well I must finish now and see how I can tease Parchina again- oh no I mustn’t do that.

Squeaks for the New Years, Parchie and family.
