Payhembury In Need Relief Fund

The Payhembury in Need Relief Fund was set up many years ago to help people from the village with unforeseen expenses or to help in emergencies.

Very often donations are awarded to people to help with Christmas. Funds are available to help any villagers with unexpected financial hardship or need. For example, we could help pay for transport if finances make it difficult to visit a close friend or relative in hospital. Maybe some people need help with paying for fuel for the winter, or are unable to afford some vital repairs or insulation for their home.

The fund has been set up for anyone in the village who needs emergency financial help and all you need to do is contact one of the Trustees listed below, who will be able to advise on what is available in the strictest confidence:

  • Lesley Elford

  • Ian Derbyshire

  • Janet East

  • Dr Tim Cox

  • Di Somers

  • Penny Hammett

Every year the collection from the Carol Singing goes to the fund, £210 was raised in December, and this year we were delighted when Kirsty Cann […]
