Hello friends
We hope that you enjoyed your summer holiday. What a shame it was so wet. Parchina and I don’t think we took our wellies off at all for a couple of weeks. We even had difficulty in gathering food, as there were not many services in church for us to gather up the crumbs, so we were very pleased when school returned and everyone was back to normal.
We were especially pleased when we had the celebration service at the beginning of September, there was sooo much cake and we were able to gather lots of food to store away. It was …

Churchmouse – September
Dear Chums,
It’s been a rather quiet month as you all seem to have been away on holiday. Parchina and I have been a bit lonely, no singing from the children, no weddings. We cheered up at the end of the month with two lovely Christenings of little Ashton and Alexander, that was great and we felt very happy when we heard all the lovely singing. So Parchina and I have been doing a lot of reading that is when we haven’t been out in the fields with our field mice friends helping them bring in the harvest straw. It’s so difficult having to run …

Hi friends, can’t stop for long to write to you this month, Parchina and I and a few friends have set up a gym club and we are practicing for a gym display in a few weeks time. We got this idea when we saw some gymnastics at Party in the Park and we heard others talking about a gym club. “Why don’t we have go?” Parchina and I thought, so we called together a few of our field mouse friends for a chat about it. “Great”, they said, “we could have great fun with this.”
Well the day we started it rained so we had to practice indoors. We very …

DearFriends,
Just look at what Parchina and I have been up to. We are learning to play music, I’m learning the French horn and Parchina is learning the clarinet, she wants to play jazz but I want to form a mouse marching band , I just love all that noise. We both love it when Rev Danny comes and plays his guitar as well as Babs on the organ, what a great noise. We especially loved it when little Sebastian was christened a few weeks ago, lots of happy music and he obviously didn’t notice some of the wrong notes that were sung as he laughed …

Hello Friends
I do hope you are having a good spring; we have been having great fun. After watching all you children having fun on May Day dancing around the Maypole, we thought that we could do the same. So, Parchina and I gathered some friends together and with Dad and Mum’s help we managed to make a great Maypole for ourselves and we spent a ovely afternoon Maypole dancing in the church yard. Oh, we had such fun, but we weren’t as good as the children on May Day; we need Mrs Morris to teach us! We got very tangled in one dance and poor …

Dear Friends, do you like this picture of Parchina? Parchina was dressed up for an Easter parade. We travelled to our cousins’ home on Easter Day after our service at Payhembury, we didn’t want to miss out on the chocolate from Rev Cate. At their house they were having an Easter party and Easter parade and Parchina won first prize. It was great fun and lovely to meet up with our cousins and join in the fun, there were mice form all over the place, some had travelled across many fields but as it was dry they didn’t get stuck in any mud.
The …

Dear Friends
Just look at this picture. Parchina caught me when I was tucking into a nice little egg. I thought no one was around, so I settled down to eat it all on my own which I knew was a bit greedy but I didn’t care at that moment (I know that’s naughty). Well, I was tucking in, getting my whiskers covered in chocolate, when along came Parchina. “What are you doing,“ she squeaked. “Nothing,” I spluttered through the chocolate in my mouth. “Well, you could have shared that egg, couldn’t you?” Parchina commented, looking rather hurt.

Parchie and Parchina
Hi friends, hope you are all well and enjoyed your half term holiday. We mice were a bit disappointed as there hasn’t been any snow; we love to go out jumping in the snow piles and burying each other in the drifts. Sometimes it’s so cold that icicles form in our fur and then when we go inside and into our nests Mum moans that we make too much mess and get everything wet, but it’s fun. Grandma and Grandpa mouse don’t like the cold; they say it gets into their paws and makes them ache. Grandma mouse has knitted them some …

Dear Friends,
Do you like this picture of me? I found some old material and made an outfit like Rev Cate’s. I have to say it made me walk more slowly and also made me think about sensible things rather than running up and down the drainpipes or playing hide and seek with Parchina around the pews. I wondered if that was why Rev Cate wore it. I think really she wears it to indicate that she is doing something special. So I thought that I would do something special as well when I was wearing it.
So I sat very quietly up where the choir can sit …

Churchmouse – January 2015
Dear Friends,
Happy New Squeaks! I hope by the time you read this we will have had some snow and Parchina and I can go out snowballing. It’s so good to get outside even when it’s cold and run around and get rid of our Christmas tummies.
We had a great time over Christmas, there were lots of berries to gather from the decorations in church and then there were lots of lovely crumbs left over from the Carols Services. We’re so glad that people drop plenty of mince pie crumbs. "Yum yum", we say when you have all gone as we gather them up quickly …
