Nature Notes from November
Hello again—Here's a grisly story (true)
The other day, I left my house by the front door, and noticed a big bird in Nan Underhill's drive. Actually, it turned out to be two birds, one quite alive and the other not quite alive! A female sparrow hawk had caught a pigeon, and was sitting on top of it, pecking away. It saw me coming, but refused to move initially. As I drew closer, the hawk flew away, but straight into Nan's window. It recovered, and flew into the willow tree. When I returned to the scene, about ten minutes later, the hawk was …

Churchmouse – December
Hi everybody, hope you are getting your Christmas trees ready for the Festival in Church. We mice have been very busy but you will have to look very hard to see if you can find ours! We love seeing all the big trees in church, the last time we had a Christmas Tree Festival we had such fun, running up and down the tables, climbing in and out of the trees and even trying to nibble some of the goodies! Mum told us off for trying to pull things off the trees, so we won’t do that this year, we promise.
